Juventus continued their impressive form in Serie A with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Fiorentina at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday. Federico Gatti scored the winning goal for the Bianconeri in the second half, after Dušan Vlahović had given the visitors a first-half lead.
Juventus started the match brightly and took the lead in the 20th minute through Vlahović. The Serbian striker latched onto a pass from Ángel Di María and fired a low shot into the bottom corner. Fiorentina fought back well and equalised in the 35th minute through Arthur Cabral. The Brazilian striker headed home a cross from Riccardo Sottil.
The second half was a tight affair, with both teams having chances to win the game. Juventus eventually broke the deadlock in the 70th minute through Gatti. The Italian defender headed home a cross from Di María to secure all three points for the Bianconeri.
The victory extends Juventus' lead at the top of the table to four points. Fiorentina remain in eighth place.
